Tal Bergman has toured and recorded with some of the most exciting artists on the music scene, including Billy Idol, Joe Zawinul, Simple Minds, LL Cool J, Rod Stewart, Chaka Khan and Terrence Trent D'Arby. He is currently in Joe Bonamassa's touring band.
His musical versatility spans hard rock, funk, R&B and jazz. He is also the associate producer and drummer on the platinum and Grammy nominated album (7 million world wide) It Had To Be You - The Great American Songbook by Rod Stewart.
From the list of performers he has drummed with, he is able to play many styles of music. But typically when playing behind blues guitarists, drummers tend to blend into the background. But this is not the case while currently touring with the blues legend, Joe Bonamassa. Bergman is able to really rock it out on most songs, even during Bonamassa's guitar solos. Bergman hits the skins with a power and energy that isn't commonly paired with a solo blues guitarist. However, confident and not afraid to let his band's talents shine, Bonamassa gives the drummer plenty of room to show off his chops and groove.
As a drummer, Bergman has also worked with Herb Alpert, Belinda Carlisle, Peter Certera, Phranc, and MC Solaar to name a few. His film credits as composer include "The Circle" (2005), "Dancing at the Blue Blue Iguana" (2000), "Wedding Bell Blues" (1996), "Kill Me Later" (2001) and "The Untold" (2002).
