Mike Luce (born (1971-09-25) September 25, 1971 (age 50)) is best known for his work as the drummer for the post-grunge band, Drowning Pool. Growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mike was exposed to music his entire life. Mike and friend/guitarist C.J. Pierce decided to move to Dallas, Texas, to connect with another friend, Stevie Benton, who played bass.

Mike and C.J. had been playing together for years, but hadn't found anyone else who really fit well enough to form a trio. They finally found their third man in Stevie Benton. The addition of frontman Dave Williams completed the group, and in 1996, Drowning Pool was born.

The band rose to fame rather quickly while on the Ozzfest tour with their 2001 debut album, Sinner. Sinner reached certified platinum within six months. Tragically, the band's frontman, Dave Williams, died in 2002 due to natural causes while on tour.

The band forged on, first with Jason Jones on vocals in 2003 and then with Ryan McCombs in 2005. Their songs have been featured in World Wrestling Entertainment programs, video games, and movies.
